FIFA 20 – What’s New in Update 6

Update 6 for FIFA 20 comes with a series of improvements regarding general gameplay, Ultimate Team, career mode, Volta, and Pro clubs. Several changes and a few gameplay issues were fixed. During penalty kick shootout, the camera time was reduced. The AI for free kicks was modified to include more free kicks.

This happens on all difficulty modes, however, the free kick conversion rates are not affected by the change. The difficulty setting decides these conversion rates. Offside detection in certain situations was made better. Sideline characters should not get stuck in place anymore. Some Ultimate Team issues were also fixed. These two issues occurred only on PC. The issue in the squad screen causing the arrows and numbers from the formation option to display something else was fixed.

The tabs at the top of the squad screen are now displayed correctly. The next UT issues occurred on consoles as well. The issue preventing players to find FUT Rivals opponents was fixed. The opponent’s squad screen lighting now matches the squad screen lighting. When players were making a concept squad, they would see a button that didn’t have any functionality on the squad builder interface. This is one of the fixed issues. When players are watching replays on FUT Champions Channel, they will not be de-synced anymore. The blue bar is now showing the correct info depending on what tile is selected. A My Friends text was also fixed.

In career mode, the issue concerning skill moves and weak foot reset was fixed. The text on the tables screen now has a better alignment. Managers will not be terminated from their position despite having success when delegating contract negotiations. Those who are currently enjoying Volta mode will be glad to know that some issues were addressed.

The issue displaying -825 age on players in the penalty kick selection screen was fixed. All avatars now correctly display the harvester jacket. The attribute boost arrows are now displaying the right attributes. The display issue concerning the first training drill in a session was also fixed. For Pro clubs, the OVR is now correctly displayed. If you are wondering what happened to the Saudi Pro League, you should know that it is now called MBS Pro League. Several visual updates for kits, banners, players, and such were made. The EA SPORTS FIFA team is encouraging players to report any in-game issue they find. Update 6 is already available on PC and will follow on consoles soon.
