Elder Scrolls Online – Maw of Lorkhaj Boss Tactics

Zhaj’hassa the Forgotten. This the first boss Elder Scrolls Online players will have to take down in order to progress further into Maw of Lorkhaj. The good news is that the only frightening thing about this boss is its name. The first boss doesn’t have complicated tactics. Assuming that players who make it into this trial are already seasoned veterans, they won’t have much trouble with this boss. To make things a bit easier, players can step on the glowing symbols on the ground to activate the dark purple pillars that will be used to hide behind when the boss casts Void Explosion. Players should also stand on the glowing areas if they are affected with Grip of Lorkhaj. When the debuff expires, watch out for the blue orbs that spawn from the affected players.

S’kinrai and Vashai. In the second boss encounter, players will fight against two bosses. Assuming that the raid party has two tanks and two healers, the group splits into two groups of one tank, one healer, and four DPS players. Each party takes one boss. Other players except for the tanks must not be in front of the bosses. Players will receive a dark or bright buff depending on the boss they are close to. Attacking a boss that has the same aura will do less damage on that boss. When the color changes, players must be ready to swap targets. As soon as one boss dies, the other starts casting a spell that can wipe the entire party. It is advised to kill them both at the same time.

Rakkhat. This is the last encounter. The boss has a lot of HP so the fight can be pretty long. Players will notice some grayish areas on the ground. These areas occasionally turn dark blue. Don’t stand in them! The areas become yellow before turning dark blue so keep an eye on the colors. The boss will summon an add that should be taken down fast. Once the add is dead, DPS players can return to the boss. The fight is not hard but it requires some attention and careful positioning.
