H1Z1 – Arcade Mode is Now Available

H1Z1 weekend events are a great way to spice up the gameplay. During select weekends, players have access to game content and modes that are normally not part of the game. These modes have unusual rules and are pretty fun to play. One of the modes that were launched on a weekend is arcade mode. The feature that was often requested by the community was the possibility to play the game in a casual manner. H1Z1 has a competitive environment and players’ progress is recorded on leaderboards. Each season players get ranks based on their leaderboards position. While this promotes competition at a very high level, it can put players under stress. There are times when one might want to play a game for fun without having to worry about rank. It’s pretty hard to relax when you know that your actions will impact your place on the leaderboards. Developers’ solution to this issue is the introduction of a new mode called Arcade. This is basically an unranked mode. It allows players to enjoy a game without being pressured to perform to maintain their rank.

An arcade match is similar to a normal one but it has some special rules. The total number of participants is 100. Players will be able to loot three new items. These are rocket launchers, makeshift armor, and light machine guns. Arcade mode isn’t like the other weekend events that are available only at certain hours. Players can enjoy arcade mode as soon as they get access to it. Two special rewards are available during the arcade weekend. To get them players must conquer certain challenges. The heavy metal backpack is obtained by those who manage to score a top 25 five times. The other reward, the heavy metal makeshift armor, is acquired by 1,000 players. These are players with the most top 10 finishes. The modes that count for this challenge are battle royale solo, duo, or five-man team. Players can check out the challenge leaderboards on the official H1Z1 page. The weekend also comes with a crate deal that gives players the chance to unlock their crates for 70% less than usual.
